Belladrum House

The Belladrum Estate is located near the lovely town of Beauly, close to Inverness in the Highlands. The Belladrum Estate has switched from owners several times, Belladrum Estate was once part of the lands owned by the Lords of Lovat, chieftains of the Clan Fraser, to whom belonged much of the land in the area, and was home to a beautiful house called Belladrum House. Belladrum House no longer exists, it was pulled down by one of the formers owners because it was too expensive to staff, although it was used for several other purposes. But the Belladrum Estate is still there and much of the estate is restored to its former glory. Belladrum Estate is now home to a few unique holiday cottages and a very romantic wedding chapel.
Some while ago I met Marnie on a forum and she is keen to receive any information possible about Belladrum House in the early days. One of her husbands great aunts lived and worked there in the 1920's? For that purpose she sent me some scanned postcards and I have made a special webpage about Belladrum House from the pictures and information she gave me. If anyone knows anything about Belladrum House, what is was used for etc Please contact Marnie by email
